We are not a travel company; nor are we a charity. We are a group of committed travelers and philanthropists that coordinate magical journeys of caring, sharing, learning, and giving— for ourselves and for other travelers of conscience.
We do it because it’s fun and very rewarding. Our journeys include many of the features ordinary tourists enjoy—sightseeing, best available accommodations, and fine dining. But what makes Heart+Passion unique—and unforgettable—-are the very personal, emotionally stirring encounters with local people that can not only be visited, but served. Yes there is some work, but when engaged with heart and passion, its really just play!
Wherever we are compelled to travel, we come to support, not to interfere, intervene, or tell them what to do. We offer only encouragement, advice, labor and, where demonstrably useful, funds. Ultimately, we believe that local communities should help themselves, designing and implementing their own lasting solutions.
To ensure that we are accomplishing our goals, we partner only with nimble, entrepreneurial NGOs that are on the ground, have respect of local communities, and have demonstrated the ability to make a difference you can see. Like our NGO partners, we come to collaborate, to explore and exchange, to celebrate our shared values and appreciate our differences, knowing that we will likely learn as much from them, as they from us, and that together we will transform as individuals—-and as caring neighbors on our shared planet.
